MURAL PAINTING AND INSTALLATION SERVICES
Our production team was hired by the Gund Gallery at Kenyon College to help with the production of four murals by world renowned artist Christine Sun Kim. Our team also assisted in the installation of the exhibition of her work within the gallery spaces.
Over the course of the project, littleINDUSTRIES worked hand in hand with the gallery director and the artist’s assistants to make sure each mural was created to the specifications set by the artist. Each mural provided unique challenges and need for new techniques. Our team also assisted with installation of works within the gallery space.
Artist Christine Sun Kim's team coordinated with the littleINDUSTRIES production team to create a series of four murals designed by the artist.
Each mural featured text and graphics that were designed to look like charcoal on the gallery wall, despite being painted with black latex paint.
The works were monumental in the space, taking up whole walls in the various rooms of the gallery space.
Each mural required its own special attention and much focus was put on keeping the white areas and the floor clean and paint free.
The architecture of the space provided challenges, but ultimately provided intriguing vantages to see the artist's work.
A large vinyl mural of one of the pieces was added to a doorway that enters into the main gallery.
The vinyl was installed in sections to allow the seams of the door to still operate without disrupting the image.
littleINDUSTRIES also assisted with the installation and placement of the artists framed works that were shown alongside the murals.
