EXTERIOR MURALS IN PARTNERSHIP WITH GOOD FAKE
Sometimes we take on monumental projects for other designers.
We were contacted by Good Fake, a marketing company that uses visual elements, video, and social campaigns to enhance companies’ brands. As part of a campaign for First Storage, several large scale murals were designed and planned, but a production team was needed. Our team traveled to both San Antonio, TX and Fayetteville, NC to execute these large scale murals. Both locations provided unique challenges including working on a giant ramp, to changing weather, new types of lifts, and difficult surfaces. The end products in both cases ended up being great visual enhancements to these storage facilities.
The finished mural in San Antonio was both enormous and stunning.
Working on a service ramp provided challenges to overcome with the lifts.
The scale of this mural project was a fun challenge for our team and we found unique ways to transfer the design to the wall.
Our team of four tackled this mural in under a week, beating weather and travel schedules alike.
We ended up using whatever means we could, three lifts and a variety of scaffolding and ladders to get this job done.
This is the most fun lift we've ever used. Shipped from Houston for the job, it saved the day and allowed us to finish the project on time.
We don't mind working with the designs of other companies and the partnership with Good Fake was a fun one.
The mural in Fayetteville, NC was right near Fort Bragg, leading to Good Fake producing some very patriotic imagery.
A last minute decision, this eagle was added to the project and painted in only two days.
Good Fake once again used this Rosie the Riveter as the brand ambassador for First Storage.
The weather was cold and wet, providing challenges while painting on a stucco wall with special stucco paint.
Lifts, ladders and scaffolding were all used on this mural to move the three man team along.
Hand painted from reference.
Hats and gloves were a necessity in the unseasonable cold.
